Ramban |: Government Degree College Ukhral organized a week-long River Festival to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The programme was organized with the aim of awakening the students and masses regarding social and environmental duties and to attract maximum public participation in the Jan Bhagyadari camapign.
The week-long programme witnessed a seminar on Water Pollution Causes and Prevention on December 17; cleaning drive on the banks of local River by the students on December 18 and a slogan writing competition on December 21.
In his welcome address, Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh highlighted the importance of healthier India to become wealthier India. He also focused on the Prime Minister’s mission of making India- A disease free and Vibrant Nation.The programme was coordinated by the Convener Sports Iftikhar Hussain Lone.
