Shahzad directs timely, accurate data collection, census completion
Kulgam, :Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad AlamTuesday reviewed the progress of Population Enumeration (PE) Phase-II of snow-bound areas of Devsar and D.H. Pora tehsils here in a meeting held at the Mini Secretariat, Kulgam.
The meeting discussed the progress of enumeration work and the status of coverage in the snow-bound areas. The concerned charge officers ( Tehsildars) briefed the DC about the progress achieved on the ground by census staff.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the accuracy of census data collection as it is crucial for effective planning and formulation of policies and programmes. He emphasised adherence to the prescribed Census guidelines and accuracy at every stage of enumeration.
Enumerators and supervisors were directed to ensure timely completion of the remaining enumeration work and maintain close coordination for smooth execution of the Census process. He further directed the concerned charge officers to closely monitor the field-level progress.
On the occasion, enumerators and supervisors tasked with the census, flagged off various issues regarding the uploading of census operations on the designated app which were addressed by technical and census officers from the Directorate of Census Operations, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
ADC Viqar Ahmad Giri, Tehsildars and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
