2-Days Spl vaccination drive concludes at Shopian

Shopian: Following the directions of District Magistrate, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya,
Two-Days Special Vaccination Drive was started on August 29 in the district to vaccinate maximum number of people as an effort to control covid disease, concluded Monday, here.
During the vaccination process common people as well as school-going students of far-flung areas of the district visited to the vaccination centres established in their respective areas to get inoculated.
The District Administration had established Covid Vaccination Centres at various sites of the district for the ease people to enable them to get vaccinated at nearest locations. The District Administration had also deployed all concerned for this purpose which includes Teachers, Supervisors, Ashas, AWWs, MPWs, VLWs besides, all Health functionaries to get the required target of vaccination of local population in the minimum time.
Regarding vaccination, the DM said that 100% vaccination of above 45 year population has already been achieved and population of 18+ age group is in full-swing and all the concerned are working with added zeal and zest to achieve the required target well on time in the district,for which all the concerned departments have been geared up to leave no stone unturned in getting the people vaccinated to save the precious lives.
DM urged upon the youth below 45 year age to come forward confidently without any fear besides not to pay heed to rumors.
He asked them to get themselves vaccinated the at nearest vaccination centres for their safety against COVID. He appealed the Imams of Masjids, Ulamas and people of Shopian district to follow all COVID SOPs in letter and spirit by usage of masks, hand hygiene and maintaining of social distance so as to keep the district free from the pandemic.
