Kupwara: The Vice Chairperson (V.C) District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir Saturday inagurated the Macadamization of Himmal Affan Kinar, Kandi Mohallah Road in presence of Ex. Engineer R&B, Er. Mohd Ramzan, AEE R&B and other officals, PRI’S, Civil Society members and senior citizens of Offen Kinar.
On the occasion, Vice Chairperson told media that this was the long pending demand of people of Offen, Kinar and Himal to have Macdamised road for the the area of North Lolab and he took it on priority.
He thanked Chief Engineer R&B, District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Superintendent Engineer R&B, Ex. Engineer R&B and other officers for their positive role in making it possible.
The cost of the whole project of six kilometres including a link road at Zab Khurhama is Rs.5.51 crore.
Mir said that the era of development has begun and he will try to connect every household and every Mohallah of his constituency with the main roads so that people may not suffer any more.
Moreover, the V.C along with Ex. Engineer R&B, AEE R&B and other officials visited Ofan Bridge and Himal Bridge and took stock of the Bridge. VC assured the people that both the bridges will be considered on priority.
