“Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”: Cleanliness drives held as a part of Swachhta Pakhwada

Bandipora: As a part of the efforts of District Administration to accelerate the cleanliness of the roads, public places and the areas abutting the main roads, cleanliness drives are in full swing across the district from 1st of August under Swatchh Pakwada.
DC Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed launched the drive as a part of Azadika Amrit Mahotsav.
Speaking on the occasion DC said that such a drive with its focus on citizen participation will bring significant changes on ground.
Under the ongoing 15 days long programme ,cleanliness drives were Friday conducted at Arin and ITI Bandipora. The drive marked the participation of employees from Municipal council Bandipora, ITI, Rural development and the representatives of Panchayat Institutions.
Various Government buildings, parks, schools and the other public places were cleaned and the garbage was removed from the road sides, besides creating awareness among masses about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
The cleanliness drives were also conducted at Gurez and other blocks of the district.
