Late Abdul Wahab Aga was a man of a realistic mind. With his untiring strides, selfless allegiance, clear judgment, and notion, he strolled uneven and tough path with grace and splendor. He was a well-known social figure of Tral, a great social figure, and an eminent teacher of Tral. He dedicated his whole life to the refinement of society. This was not an act of dedication only, but a great leadership that he invariably plopped in society. He and his leadership gave a promising way to our village. His Leadership captured the essentials of being able and prepared to inspire others. We know effective leadership is based upon ideas that are effectively communicated to others in a way that engages them enough to act as the leader wants them to act. He, Abdul Wahab Aga was like a leader who inspired others to act while simultaneously directing the way. He would always agree on the things favorable for our village. This truly was the quintessence of the man, Abdul Wahab Aga, who died on third Ramadan this year. He was a man of multiple parts: , brother, husband, instructor, altruist, father, and granddad. The string that went through every one of these roles was that of a decent man, comparable to the antiquated great man that Wordsworth alluded to in these verses: “the best portion of a good man’s life [were] his little, nameless, unremembered, acts of compassion and love.” Abdul Wahab’s’ life was completely built from such little and huge thoughtful gestures and of adoration. And today with his great endeavors our society is at a great stance. Undoubtedly, there is a lot to do if you want to live well and do something. Knowing this it is up to the leaders to decide how to do all this in society and he, Abdul Wahab Aga decided every moment of life keeping in view the people of his society, and because of candor and dedication, he never failed to perform his duties. If you look at some villages, you will see that they don’t have a good leadership of their elders, and due to which society and all denizens get into darkness and ignorance. No doubt writers aroused their nation by writing but leaders focus on yanking their society out from the immoral things which motivate to develop desired results. The tragedy of societies like those who don’t have leaders like Abdul Wahab Aga get stuck into debauchery from where they can’t come out effortlessly without the guidance of such leaders. However, those who, through politics, make it their duty to be part of the community and to ensure stability, cannot look beyond their own pockets or coffers.
Personal interests alter many leaders and they become voracious to keep their pockets warm. What should a common man do in such a situation, where to go, how to get himself out of a dead-end? Leaders like Abdul Wahab Aga served his society without getting into the acquisitiveness of egregious people. The question is not only of the leaders but also of the people. When duplicity engulfs the entire society, the way to amend the situation, the leaders and candid men like Abdul Wahab Aga never remain far-off. Our main tragedy is that the heart is gone, only the eyes are left. There is a lot that is not seen but has to be seen. As a society, we are becoming more and more disgusted by each other standing at a dead-end, falling into the trap of more quiescence. Instead of trying to recover, we wallow in our sadness and thus, experience more failure. We do not get the blessing of life just to waste it and then regain it. One is lost and then, do not regret his sorrow. God’s refuge! It is a condition that if it does not end, it will end everything. This is what is happening here in every society now. The habit of thinking of refinement and reform in any field has been completely abandoned. The urge to do something is gone. What is happening is actually being allowed to happen. Life, not given in order to sacrifice mindlessness and inaction. This is a bargain of the senses. We are well aware of the fate of societies that have abandoned wisdom and action, only the eyes are left with which we are watching the spectacle of our own ruin and to rectify this, leaders are the fundamental part in such situations. Every society needs leaders who can judge well and determine entirely the judgments of life. Unequivocally, Abdul Wahab Aga breathed his own idealism, action and spirit of service into his students and denizens of his society and tried to make them models of celibacy, integrity and good character. His conduct and performance was delightful. He was indeed an embodiment of great virtues and was loved by all people in the village Chandrigam. He died much like he lived: among his allies and family, delicately and unobtrusively, in harmony and in faith, with his entire heart sending each and every breath out of his body. It was the rare, kind completion to a unique, kind life.
