DIC B’pora launches e-training for registration on GeM portal

Bandipora: District Industries Center (DIC) Bandipora Monday organized a day-long online training programme on registration of MSME units on GeM portal for unit holders of Bandipora.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Reyaz Ahmad Beigh who also holds the charge of General Manager was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The programme is aimed at facilitating MSME unit holders with ample opportunities in the national market.
The ACR stressed upon the unit holders to register their units on the GeM portal which would help them sell their products on a bigger platform at national level. He appreciated the initiative taken up by District Industries Centre to acquaint their unit holders with latest market challenges.
He said the GEM facilitates online procurement of common use Goods & Services required by various Government Departments/ Organisations/ PSUs and aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and speed in public procurement. He also said GEM provides the tools of e-bidding, reverse e-auction and demand aggregation to facilitate the government users, achieve the best value for their money.
General Manager DIC Mir Mehraj-ud-Din said the objective to conduct this training is to apprise the unit holders about various schemes, importance of GeM registration, UDYAM and TREADS registration.
He said the training programme, initiated by Government e-Market place (GeM), Union Ministry of Commerce, is aimed to facilitate MSME unit holders of J&K with ample opportunities of national market.
Business facilitator GeM (J&K) gave a detailed presentation about registration of MSME unit holders on GeM portal.
Among others, Project Manager DIC Bandipora, Sales Tax Officer and representatives of various banks besides industrial unit holders were present during the training programme.
