Srinagar: The family members of senior separatist leader and former chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani has not tested positive for COVID-19 and is doing well, the family members of ailing leader said.
“My father has not tested positive for COVID-19. He is absolutely fine by the grace of Allah,” Geelani’s son, Syed Naseem Geelani said.
Earlier, some media reports suggested Geelani had tested positive for the deadly virus.
Pertinently, the 91-year-old leader recently resigned as the Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman. He, however, continues to be under house arrest at his Hyderpora residence since past more than eight years
