SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Skill Development Mission (JKSDM), to commemorate International Yoga Day, organized an online Yoga program which was attended by 102 candidates from across Jammu and Kashmir.

Under its phase-wise COVID-19 special Skill Program, JKSDM is already conducting an online program “Yoga for Better Immunity and Stress Relief” for the youth of J&K.

The participants performed yoga under the expert guidance of Anuja Jasrotia, Art of Living Yoga Faculty and Co-founder of Ajyoga.

“Stress management has many societal, familial and individual benefits and considering the same, the Mission introduced the stress management program involving yoga and other techniques to tackle issues related to anxiety, fitness etc,” said an official of JKSDM.

Neelam, a participant, said that the relaxation techniques have a proven positive effect on mind as well as body and I am trying to take maximum benefit from the program.

Under the COVID-19 special online program, JKSDM through different batches has already provided online training to 1061 candidates on various skill sets such as cyber security, GST, tailoring skills (Masks & PPEs), internet web designing, front office operations in hospitality sector, beauty makeup etc.

Given the positive response of the participants, the JKSDM is also planning to conduct further stress management sessions involving experts from psychological and fitness related fields.
