DC Budgam review progress of ongoing works at Campus site Rakh Arath Bemina

Shahzad instructs speedy work execution of all ongoing projects

Budgam | Sept. 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, along with Director Kashmir Campus, University of Jammu, Dr.Guneet Singh Sudan Saturday visited Kashmir Campus at RakhArath, Bemina, to review the progress of ongoing infrastructure works.

During visit, the Deputy Commissioner instructed expediting work on the installation of High Tension (HT) line to ensure power connectivity to the campus at the earliest.
The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department was directed to extend water supply to the campus on priority.
Besides, other works, the Deputy Commissioner asserted on speedy construction of approach road for easy accessibility.
During inspection, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress of the boundary wall, protective fencing and prefabricated structures, including the mini-office and Chowkidar room. He directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to work in coordination, maintain the required quality standards and complete the remaining works within the prescribed timelines.
The DC said that timely completion of the ongoing works is important for making the campus functional and accessible.
Among others, Director, University of Jammu, Joint Director Planning Budgam, Tehsildar Budgam, Executive Engineer R&B and representatives of the concerned departments were present.
