CBP for Covid management held at Shopian

Shopian: Two days Capacity Building Program (CBP), for covid management was Saturday organised by District Disaster Management Authority Shopian.
The Program was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin who is also Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority Shopian, in the premises of DC office complex mini secretariat Arhama Shopian.
The DC said the purpose of this mass meeting is to sensitize and aware the business community of the preventions and measures needed to be taken on daily basis to keep Covid at bay besides acting upon the advisories issued by the government from time to time so that the normal business is back on track.
During interaction with shopkeepers the DC urged them to strictly follow the advisories and cautioned them that a small negligence in terms of violating SOP’s may endanger the lives of people and impressed upon them to develop the habit of wearing masks and ensure use of sanitizers on a daily basis while on work.
While giving detailed report about Covid-19 pandemic in the district, DDC said there are 62 Red Zones in the district and said near about 10K samples have been taken from the district till date and Covid wellness centres have been established in the district where each and every facility is provided to the quarantined patients of the district.
He said shopkeepers will be allowed to open their shops according to roaster chart and added that the Covid-19 is not a hoax and don’t prey to misconception and misinformation.
Later, training was also imparted to the shopkeepers by the doctors and they were advised to ask customers to maintain social distancing besides wearing masks while shopping.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, OSD Covid, Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildar Shopian, Food & Drug Administration Shopian , Health and other concerned functionaries besides shopkeepers including chemists & druggists in large number participated in the program.
