Arrangements finalized for evacuation of migrant labourers stranded in Kulgam

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Showkat Aijaz Bhat, Wednesday chaired a meeting to review and finalize the arrangements put in place to facilitate smooth movement, evacuation of migrant labourers, workers stranded in district Kulgam due to lockdown.
The DC impressed upon all officers to ensure that all arrangements are put in place in advance for smooth movement of these stranded migrant workers from the district with strict adherence to the guidelines in view of pandemic.
The Deputy Commissioner also impressed upon the officers to work in synergy and coordination to ensure smooth departure of these stranded workers.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Dy- Superintendent Police-HQ, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Tehsildar Kulgam besides other officers.
