Srinagar: Security forces on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a youth, who went missing from his home at Tral in Pulwama, along with a rifle during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir.
Official sources said that following specific information, a joint team of Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police and Army launched a CASO at Nagpathri, Tral in Pulwama on Wednesday.
“During the CASO, a person identified as Mohammad Maqbool Ganai, was arrested along with an AK47 rifle,” they said.
They said Ganai had gone missing from his home on May 25, following which a missing complaint was registered by his family in a local police station. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added.
