Srinagar, Sept 17: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and announced a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ across the Union Territory.

In a post on X, the LG described PM Modi’s leadership as an inspiration in building a self-reliant, developed and progressive India, and prayed for his long, healthy and vibrant life.

Sinha said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, to be held from September 17 to October 17, will commemorate the Prime Minister’s 25 years of dedicated public service.

He said 12 service-oriented programmes, including ‘Seva Diwas’, cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, medical camps, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, assistance to Divyangjan and youth programmes, will be organised across J&K.

The LG called upon citizens to participate actively in the programmes and contribute towards selfless service to the community.
