Poonch: After remaining closed for five months, the historic Mughal road connecting Poonch and Shopian was on Wednesday thrown open for vehicular movement. Officials told KNO that a large number of Light Motor Vehicles were allowed to move over the road.
They said that after green signal from a joint inspection team, the authorities took decision to allow one way traffic of light motor vehicles over the stretch. DIG Rajouri Poonch range, Vivek Gupta said that traffic has been restored on road and LMVs on one way from Poonch to Srinagar were allowed to move.
