Easter is one of the festive occasions of the Christian community. In Greek and Latin, it is known as Pascha or Resurrection Sunday. This day is being celebrated as the culmination of the passion of Jesus, preceded by lent, which is a period of 40 days in which some fast. This year the festival fell on 21st April and early morning, it turned red. Last year, on 1st April 2018, the same festival, the Kashmir witnessed the Bloody Sunday in which 20 people were killed and 200 others got injured. The Indian army opened fire at villagers when people came out on the streets of Kachdoora village in Shopian district and try to halt a gun battle between militants and security forces. On that day, everyone was mourning. Roads were closed, the internet was shutdown and curfew-like the situation was imposed in the rest of the valley in order to maintain law and order. after one year, the Easter witnessed a big terrorist attack in Srilanka. Three churches and three hotels came under suicide attack from ISI terrorist organisation in which around 400 people were killed including children.
The attack shattered the hearts of humanity and it was condemned by all sections of the society. As per the sources, the attack was carried out as a revenge of Christchurch New Zealand in which 50 Muslims were killed by an Australian Christian citizen. However, the country proved that they are against terrorism and stood in solidarity with the Muslims in the country. Candlelight, wearing hijab, broadcasting Aazan and participation in Nimaz by all fellowmen of New Zealand proved that there is no place for the hatred for anyone in the country irrespective of colour, religion or identity. The question arises when Muslims of New Zealand forgave the propagator of the crime, then who are these co-called Islamic state to take revenge. If Muslims support such kind of terrorist acts, then remember, they are acting against the teachings of God and Prophet. Quran states that if you kill an innocent person, you have killed whole humanity. The Srilanka who suffered riots between Buddhists and minority Muslims already got the justification to make genocide of the rest.
The Government started applying the policies that are applied by west powers against the Muslims on the name of the war on terror. Indian sociologist and writer Asish Nandy observed that it has been found that most atrocities have been committed not in the name of religion, but in the name of reason and aesthetics. The world needs a reason, how to crush a section, who belongs to the religion of peace. The need of the hour is to stand against all religious bigotry and spread the message of peace and love. Besides that, the Muslims of all sections should stand against such terrorist organisation and ensure that there is no relation between terrorism and Islam. The rest of the world also needs to understand that all terrorist attacks are not done by Muslims, whether it is Hindus, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists and even Communists are involved in such acts in one way or another way. The best way to get rid of such acts is to stand against it and those who are involved should be punished.
