Srinagar: Former cabinet minister and senior Peoples Democratic Party leader Qazi Mohammed Afzal passed away at SKIMS on Friday.
Qazi, 80, was unwell for last few years. He was shifted to the hospital on Friday where he breathed his last, a family source said.
Qazi Afzal had successfully contested 2002 assembly elections from Ganderbal when he defeated NC’s Omar Abdullah and became forest minister in PDP- Congress coalition government.
