Secy Social Welfare reviews implementation of Social Welfare schemes at Bla

Baramulla : Secretary Social Welfare Department, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone Wednesday chaired a meeting of the officers of Social Welfare, ICDS and ICPS department of Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora at Dak Bungalow Sopore.
The meeting aimed at thoroughly reviewing the progress of the services provided by the departments.
The Secretary impressed upon the DSW Officers of the three districts to ensure sanctioning of the extra quotas allotted under old age and widow pension schemes at an earliest. The PMMVY, Poshan Anhiyan and construction of ICDS centres was also reviewed.
He impressed upon the officers of ICDS department to ensure availability of nutrition at Anganwadi centres on an immediate basis. The officers were directed to ensure regular inspections of Anganwari centres.
The indicators of the Aspirational District pertaining to the ICDS were also discussed during the meeting. The meeting also discussed the achievements under ICPS for the three districts.
The meeting was attended by District Program Officer Baramulla, Director Planning A.G. Malik and other concerned officers.
