DC Rajouri reviews progress of digital crop survey under AgriStack

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri  Abhishek Sharma Sunday chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Digital Crop Survey (DCS) being conducted under the AgriStack framework in the district.

‎‎During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed assessment of the progress achieved by the concerned departments and reviewed the status of field-level data collection and other related activities.

‎‎The Digital Crop Survey (DCS) is an initiative of the Government of India under the AgriStack framework, aimed at creating a verified and reliable digital database of farm plots, crops sown and farmer-related information. The initiative seeks to facilitate better agricultural planning, improve delivery of farmer-centric services and ensure effective implementation of various government schemes.

‎‎The DC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure accurate, comprehensive and timely collection and updation of data. He directed them to closely monitor the field-level progress, identify and address bottlenecks promptly and ensure achievement of the assigned targets within the stipulated timelines.

‎‎He further emphasised the need for close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the Digital Crop Survey across the district.

‎‎The meeting was attended by ADDC MalikzadaSheraz Ul Haq; ADC Ravi Kumar Sihag; ADC Kalakote Mohammad Tanvir; ADC Nowshera Pritam Lal Thapa; ADC SunderbaniRamkesh Sharma; ADC KoterankaDil Mir; ACR Mohd Jahangir Khan; SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain Shah; CAO Rajesh Verma; Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
