New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday called on the visiting
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu here and said India was eagerly waiting for his trip.
“We were eagerly looking to your visit and after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Israel, all of us were very excited to receive you in India,” Ms Swaraj told Mr Netanyahu.
“And today that dream has come true,” she said.
Responding to her brief remarks, Israel Prime Minister said for his country this visit will be important and said “entire Israel” is following and looking with keenness to his India visit.
In a tweet, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Raveesh Kumar said, “Sushma Swaraj called on @IsraeliPM Benjamin Netanyahu. Warm and engaging conversation on various aspects of our bilateral ties aimed at strengthening our strategic partnership”.
