Tekanpur, MP: Recalling that the nature and scope of the Conference of Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police had changed since 2014, beginning with its being shifted out of New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today observed that the conference has now become more relevant, in the context of challenges and responsibilities being faced by the country.
Mr Modi was addressing the valedictory ceremony of the conference — held at the BSF Academy at Tekanpur in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district. On the occasion, he appreciated the officers — who were instrumental in facilitating the change.
“The new format of the conference has resulted in a marked improvement in the quality of discussions,” official sources quoted the Premier as saying.
