Ahmedabad: The BJP on Sunday stepped up attack against Congress for the reported meeting between senior Congress leaders Mani Shankar Aiyar and Dr Manmohan Singh with Pakistan envoy and said even Congress associate and Independent candidate contesting from Vadgam Jignesh Mevani has ascertained funding from a controversial organisation.
“Jignesh Mevani’s pictures of accepting money from PFI has gone viral. PFI has always indulged in anti-national activities.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi meets such a person who has relations with an anti-national outfit,” Mr Shah told a news conference adding the move was to ensure vote bank consolidation.
