Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray on Sunday came down heavily on his cousin and Shiv Sena party chief Uddhav Thackeray saying that he (uddhav) used huge money power by spending Rs 5 crore per corporator for defection of six MNS corporators, who joined Sena.
‘I strongly deny that I sent these six corporators to Sena’ and added that he would have extended support to Sena if asked,’ he added.
Talking to reporters, he said he left Sena due to this dirty politics and will never forget this.
He added that his uncle late Bal Thackeray was never involved in such tactis.
Left with just one MLA in legislature and one corporator in BMC, he said he was aware that efforts of defection in MNS were going on with money power.
