New Delhi, Sept 18 (UNI) The Supreme Court today accepted the Bar Council of Gurugram’s order in withdrawing its resolution not to engage any counsel for the accused in the Ryan school child death case. The regional head of Ryan, Francis Thomas, who is an accused in the gruesome schoolchild death case, had moved the apex court seeking to transfer the case from a Gurugram court to the Capital on the grounds that the Bar Council of Gurugram had passed a resolution not to provide him a lawyer to defend the case. The bar council of Gurugram had passed a resolution that no lawyer would appear in the case in Haryana court to defend him in the child death case. Headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, the bench also comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud, ruled that none of the lawyers of the Gurugram bar would create any hindrance if a lawyer would represent the accused in the case.
