Bhagalpur: The RJD will approach the Supreme Court soon with a request to monitor the ongoing investigation into nearly Rs 1200 crore Srijan scam.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad, who reached here late last night to attend the party’s rally to ‘expose’ Srijan scamsters during the day, told newspersons that the State Government was trying to shield those involved in Srijan scam and so the Supreme Court itself should monitor the ongoing probe into it.
He said his party would approach the Apex court soon in this regard.
He said the scale of Srijan scam was even bigger than that of infamous fodder scam and people across the world were surprised how the public money worth crores of rupees was looted.
Mr Prasad said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, senior administrative officers, Income Tax department and all other people concerned were aware of the scam beforehand but they did not take any action.
