Chandigarh: A local court today sent the son of Haryana BJP President Subhash Barala, Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar, the accused in the Chandigarh stalking and attempt to abduction case, to judicial custody till August 25.
The duo appeared before duty magistrate Gaurav Datta at the Chandigarh district court.
The court sent sent them to jail as Chandigarh Police did not seek their police remand.
Vikas Barala and Ashish were arrested by Chandigarh police on the charges of stalking and harassing Varnika Kundu, the daughter of senior IAS officer V S Kundu, on August 5 though they were granted bail on the same day.
Police arrested both the accused on August 9 and a local court sent them to two-day police custody on Thursday.
