New Delhi: The Lok Sabha today witnessed huge uproar and the proceeding were adjourned till tomorrow over the suspension of the six Congress Members and the video recording of the House proceedings by BJP Member Anurag Thakur. Congress Members shouted slogans in the Well demanding revocation of suspension of their colleagues and action against Thakur for video recording the proceedings on Monday.

Amid their slogans and pandemonium, the Chair allowed the debate over the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2017 and continued the proceedings of the House till the passage of the Bill. Once the IIIT (Amendment) Bill, 2017 got passed, Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai allowed Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal to table the Company (Amendment) Bill, 2016, which was again strongly opposed by the Opposition Congress Members. Annoyed with the protests, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar alleged that the Congress Members were creating problems for no reason and disrupting the proceedings.

He urged the Deputy Speaker to allow Mr Meghwal to move the Bill which again evoked strong protest from the Congress Members. Earlier, the House was adjourned for 20 minutes during Zero Hour as the Opposition, mainly the Congress and the AAP, created uproar demanding suspension Mr Thakur. Amid the din, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the House for the day.
