New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day today after ruckus continued over naming and suspension of six Congress members for five days. In the post-lunch session, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan named six Congress Members – Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Ranjeet Ranjan, Sushmita Dev and M K Raghavan for their unruly behaviour and tearing papers and throwing them towards the Chair.
When the House re-assembled around 1430 hrs, Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai, who was in the Chair, said Members named have to withdraw themselves from the House. Most named Congress members were in the Well protesting for having been named by the Speaker. Among others, CPI-M member Mohammad Salim also was seen protesting. But nothing was heard in the din. The Deputy Speaker then adjourned the House for the day.
