New Delhi: As the standoff with China at the border in Sikkim enters another month, India today said that diplomatic channels were available and efforts have never stopped to find a peaceful resolution.
Amid the standoff, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval would be in Beijing on July 27-28 to attend a meeting of the NSAs from BRICS nations.
Asked if he would raise the issue of the standoff with the authorities in China, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay said: ‘We will keep you informed of his other engagements.
‘ To persistent queries on the standoff and the situation on the trijunction near Sikkim border with Bhutan and China, the spokesperson maintained that Thimpu was in touch with India.
There was close coordination between New Delhi and Bhutan.
