Srinagar/June,8: Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) on Friday said that government disrespected its own court’s order by not shifting party
chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi and her personal secretary, Sofi Fehmeeda from Amphalla jail Jammu to Srinagar.
Giving details, DeM general secretary, Nahida Nasreen, said that on June 4, JK High Court issued orders for shifting Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi and Sofi Fehmeeda from Amphalla jail Jammu to Srinagar.
She said that copy the order was served to Department of Home Affairs, to SSP Srinagar, SP of Amphalla jail and the district magistrate on June 6.
“But when the SP of Amphalla jail contacted the Home department regarding this court order, the Home department didn’t consider it and asked him to delay the proceedings till further orders,” she added.
She said that the High Court had quoted an Indian Supreme Court ruling which has said that detainees should be kept in jail nearer to their homes.
“In that backdrop, the puppet government was asked to shift Aasiyeh Sahiba and Sofi Fehmeeda to Srinagar.”
Instead of considering this order, Nasreen said, the SP of Amphala jail has been given directions to continue the lodgment of the duo and now Public Safety Act order shows detention for three months. “Earlier, there was no
mention of time frame of confinement mentioned but now three-month lodgement has been mentioned. This is deplorable.”
She said that this shows the how the puppet state government and Indian authorities disrespect their own courts’ orders.
Nasreen appealed the World HR organisations take notice of this grave
violation and use their influence to save the life of Aasiyeh Andrabi who, under a well-knit conspiracy, has been lodged illegally in outside jail to be harmed physically and mentally.
“These organisations should take note of the rogue Indian authorities don’t even respect their own courts and put in danger the lives of the political detainees.”
She said that it is an act of cowardice that by detaining women, India and its puppets think that they can extend their illegal occupation in JK.
