New Delhi: The Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar today blasted the central government for what he said not doing much on ground but at the same time ensuring effective media management.
The party chief Sharad Pawar and senior leader Tariq Anwar also gave a call for opposition unity to fight the anti-people measures of the Narendra Modi-led government in the centre.
Addressing the party leaders and delegates on the occasion of the NCP’s Foundation Day, Mr Pawar was particularly critical of the government’s agrarian policy and said the farmers’ woes have spread nationwide.
“While the problems for the farming community has spread across, the Modi government is being insensitive,” the former Union Minister said.
He also referred to the farmers’ suicides and lamented that during last three years the central government has unable to bring about any concrete policy that would help the farmers.
