New Delhi: The Supreme Court today decided to hear on June 15 a plea filed by an Hyderabad-based organisation challenging the Centre’s notification which had imposed a ban on cattle slaughter.
The ruling was given by a vacation bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan and also comprising Justice Deepak Gupta.
Sanobar Ali Qureshi appeared for the Hyderabad-based NGO in the apex court.
All India Jamiatul Quresh Action Committee filed the PIL.
Qureshi has, in his petition, challenged two notifications of the Union government.
