New Delhi, Jun 4: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who called on DMK Working President MK Stalin at the latter’s Cenotaph Road residence yesterday, has thanked the DMK leader for his hospitality.
In what is being seen in political circles as cementing of ties between the next generation in the DMK and the Congress, party Vice President Rahul Gandhi yesterday called on Mr Stalin at the latter’s Cenotaph Road residence and spent some time there.
Mr Gandhi, who was in Chennai to attend DMK President M Karunanidhi’s 94th birthday celebrations, spent some time at Mr Stalin’s residence during which he even played with his grandchildren.
Mr Gandhi posed for photographs with Stalin, his wife and grandchildren.
Sources said that during nearly half-an-hour meeting, Mr Gandhi and Mr Stalin held discussions on several current issues in Tamil Nadu as well as at the national level.
