Hyderabad, Jun 4: Unable to digest the growing popularity of the Narendra Modi government, opposition parties were politicizing every issue including cow slaughter ban and Kashmir to derive political gains, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu charged today.
Addressing a media conference at the office of the Telangana unit of the BJP in the city, he said that already many states have laws enacted during the previous Congress regimes banning cow slaughter.
He said that the government would never interfere with the food habits of an individual.
Mr Naidu also pooh-poohed the opposition charge that the BJP government was trying convert the country into a vegetarian one.
