UP govt goes on digital; Ministers, depts, officers to use twitter, e-office by Oct

Lucknow, May 29: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has taken a decision to boost transparency within the government with directing all ministers, departments and department heads would use Twitter handle while all District Magistrates (DMs) and Police Superintendents(SPs) will become active on social media.
The system in UP would work similar like of the Central government where all ministers, departments and its head operate Twitter.
The entire system would be in place by October this year.
Besides, all departments in the state would have separate Facebook page where people can complaints their problems.
Official sources here today said the departments and the officials would be required to post all orders and actions besides it will also serve as grievance cell where any individual can lodge their complaints and officials will inform about their response.
