Kolkata, May 24: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today flew to New Delhi to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi either today or tomorrow and raise about state various development issues, including pending monetary, Ganga erosion problem and for more funds for the state.
” Yes I have asked an appointment with the PM either today or tomorrow for a meeting,” Ms Banerjee told reporters at the airport before flying to New Delhi this afternoon.
She whenever find opportunity she raise the matter with the central leaders regarding pending and new issues for state development.
” This time I would raise about the pending monetary issue, more financial support for various projects and on Ganga erosion problem during meeting with the PM,” Ms Banerjee said.
The Ganga erosion in Murshidabad and Malda had been very concerned for the state as the landmass has been taken away rendering many families homeless year after year.
