New Delhi, May 15: The Centre today told the Supreme Court that if it abolished Triple Talaq, it would bring in a new law on the issue.
Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi, top law officer representing the Centre, told the five-judge Constitution Bench of the court, headed by Chief Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar, that if the apex court completely struck down Triple Talaq, the Centre would bring a new law on the issue.
