New Delhi, Apr 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held talks with visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe touching the whole spectrum of bilateral relations, after which they signed a MoU on deepening economic collaboration.
‘’Held comprehensive talks with PM Ranil Wickremesinghe on ways to strengthen India-Sri lanka ties for the benefit of citizens,” Mr Modi tweeted after the meeting.
Mr Wickremesinghe’s trip comes just a couple of weeks ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Sri Lanka, which will be his second official visit.
Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari called on the visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister.
Later, Mr Wickremesinghe had a meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
