New Delhi, Apr 20: The Supreme Court today allowed civic agency New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to e-auction the iconic Taj Mansingh hotel, presently run by the Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL).
A division bench, headed by Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose and comprising Justice Rohinton Fali Nariman, passed the order after hearing in detail the arguments from the Taj Mansingh and from the NDMC side, in the matter.
The court was hearing the submissions made by the NDMC and from the IHCL.
The apex court made it clear that if Tata group losses the E-auction, then within a period of six months, Tata group will have to vacate the premises.
The apex court was hearing IHCL’s plea against the Delhi High Court order.
