New Delhi, Apr 20: The Supreme Court today refused to grant bail to Bihar topper scam main accused Bachcha Rai.
A division bench, headed by Justice N V Ramanna and also comprising Justice Prafulla C Pant, passed the order after hearing the arguments from the Bihar government seeking cancellation of bail in the case.
“Bail dismissed to the accused,” the Bench of the Top court today said, in its order.
The Bihar government had moved the apex court seeking cancellation of Bachha Rai’s bail, which was granted to him by the Patna High Court last month.
The Bihar government told the apex court that if Bachcha Rai continues to remain on bail, he could influence the trial in the case.
