New Delhi, Apr 19: Welcoming the verdict of the Supreme Court to revive criminal conspiracy charges against veteran BJP leader LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, Union Minister Uma Bharti and other BJP leaders, the Congress today said that those Union Ministers and people on constitutional posts against whom conspiracy charges have been revived, should resign on moral grounds.
Addressing reporters here, AICC spokesperson Manish Tewari said, ‘Though there is no place for morality and sensitivity in the Modi Government, this entire case is the yardstick of morality of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ministers in his Government and BJP leaders holding constitutional positions against whom the court has revived conspiracy charges, should resign on moral grounds.
‘ He said that the order of the Supreme court was clear and the law should be allowed to take its own course.
In this context, he pointed out that during the rule of the previous UPA Government, Union Ministers had resigned even on the basis of charges levelled against them.
