Weather you accept it or neglect. We have to remember Kashmir is the valley with uncertain things. I along with my friends discussed it when any natural disaster or harm is declared our deeds are responsible. But how long we all are responsible we should remember that there are some good people living here. People are giving charity and helping those in need providing livinglyhood to many unemployed youth. Which means there are good people too? From their light our darkness is disappeared. Now the question is why floods are on every lip? Is it global warming? In this world, Allaah SWT has given freedom to people to make decisions and execute their decisions. He does not interfere in the matter of the world in any way that will negate human freedom. But has the hand in every disaster. He lets people do whatever they want to do. Many people do evil things, but He does not stop them, because stopping them will deprive people of their freedom. Instead, He has designated the Day of Judgment to do full and perfect justice with people. To understand it in proper perspective, we need to look at the life of this world as well as the eternal life in the Hereafter as one package. A person can live for at the most about a 100 years in this world, but the life in the Hereafter will be eternal. As you can see there is no ratio between the two segments of our life. He lets people do whatever wrongs they want to do in His disobedience in this little fraction of our life, but will administer full and perfect justice forever in the eternal life. Now at individual level we should treat nature good and prevent it from harm. Because not only for bad deeds but tomorrow Allah SWT will asks for us everything. In occurring Floods there is our hand too.
Remembering floods of 2014 Kashmiris people itself played a vital role in helping people. As we know every hand was strong to help each other and saving every household.
Flooding occurs most commonly from heavy rainfall when natural watercourses do not have the capacity to convey excess water. However, floods are not always caused by heavy rainfall. They can result from other phenomena, particularly in coastal areas where inundation can be caused by a storm surge associated with a tropical cyclone, a tsunami or a high tide coinciding with higher than normal river levels. Dam failure, triggered for example by an earthquake, will result in flooding of the downstream area, even in dry weather conditions. Kashmir is witnessing the worst floods in its living memory. Even as the rains have stopped two days back people are still stranded. Entire areas in the summer capital Srinagar and district Baramulla are submerged and the surface water is not receding as it should, normally. Apart from such neglect, many other factors are responsible for the present humanitarian crisis, mainly the unmindful construction of railways and highways. Such constructions have caused huge depressions, turning Srinagar city into a bowl. The new four lane highway project has chocked all traditional sewage system, blocking all outlets. The railway line which runs across the valley has been constructed by razing down most of the hillocks turning the line into a steady embankment which keeps the level of surface water static. Also, the residential colonies which have come up around major wetlands like Hokarsar have a massive contribution in creating such an alarming situation. At any time of suffering people of Kashmir are strong enough to response it. There has never been any need of help from the Indian army. And there is no need today. They can evacuate and people will provide them safe passage and food on their way out. So remembering floods of 2014 Kashmiris people itself played a vital role in helping people. As we know every hand was strong to help each other and saving every household. This is only thing people of Kashmir are profound of kashmiriyat. They don’t only assist native –people but even others who were from different states – tourists and others. There was a famous saying by people of Kashmir. WE WILL RISE AGAIN. So it doesn’t mean we are weak but have ability to face every problem at anytime.
