Baramulla : In a significant move toward preservation of environment, Principal Government Medical College Baramulla, Dr Ab Hameed Kathu along with Medical Superintendent, Associated Hospital, Baramulla, Dr Syed Masood kick started a plantation drive by planting a Conifer sapling in the hospital premise, here Tuesday.
The event marked the presence of DFO Baramulla, Parveez Ahmad, faculty members of the college and hospital and other concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal said the drive was started with the purpose to enhance green cover and to create an eco-friendly environment in the hospital and its periphery. He urged the stakeholders to carry forward the drive in their respective domains and highlighted the role of Forest department in this regard.
Dr. Masood in his speech appealed the stakeholders to play their role for environmental conservation.
