Strict Directives Issued To Safeguard Board Examination Integrity
Srinagar | October, 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday strictly banned supervisory staff from carrying mobile phones inside examination centers during ongoing board exams.
A circular issued by the JKBOSE Secretary instructed centre superintendents to ensure all supervisory personnel hand over their phones prior to exam hours. Superintendent officers themselves remain exempt from the ban to enable seamless communication with divisional and branch offices, officials said.
The board also mandated that no student be permitted to leave the examination hall with question papers before half of the allotted time expires. The instructions follow the establishment of a three-member panel to investigate a reported question paper leak incident during the Class 10 Mathematics exam in Mahore, sources said.
Over 2,70,000 students across Class 10th, 11th, and 12th have registered for the board examinations this season, which are currently being conducted across 1,003 designated centers in the region, reports said.
