Srinagar: In connection with the just announced Panchayat elections to vacant Sarpanch and Panch seats, a one-day orientation program for officers nominated as returning officers and assistant returning officers in Srinagar is being held on February 14.
During the orientation program which will be held at DC Office Srinagar and will start at 11 am, the nominated returning and assistant returning officers will be briefed about their respective roles and responsibilities in connection with the Panchayat elections in the district.
It is notable that vacant Sarpanch and Panch constituencies for which these elections are being held fall in four CD Blocks of the district.
