New Delhi/Aug,5: Home mister Amit Shah presented the bill in the Rajya Sabha to abrogate Article 370 and 35A.Based on the bill, Jammu and Kashmir state will be reorganised geographically.When the Home MInsiter began to address the House, the members created a ruckus and there was utter chaos.Article 370 of the Constitution grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir, while Article 35A empowers the state legislature to define the state’s ““permanent residents” and their special rights and privileges.
Earlier, the Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had an hour-long meeting, where the top leadership is believed to have discussed issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
