Parents are the care takers of their offsprings’. The word seems so compassionate and mighty that one’s nerves fills with hope, mind with pride and heart with joy. Parents are always protectors of their children and they can cross all the impregnable limits for happiness, safety and prosperity of their children. The word seems so melodious that on hearing it one dips in whoops of joy and feels jubilant. In fact they are the best gift which divine has ever bestowed to man. But unfortunately several children are struggling with their innocence because of parental conflicts. The parental conflict has strong impacts on child’s life . It makes him psychologically Ill. It leaves dreadful scars on mind of child. It makes his mind and heart paralyzed. It affects one’s childhood, adulthood and all over life. Although one has all comforts, their parents had bestowed them with all materialistic pleasures but due to parental conflicts their vibrant life becomes colourless and cold. These conflicts leave acute scars on mind and heart of an individual. The parental conflicts encourage children to take several steps on their own which may later have serious consequences but parents are themselves responsible for these undesirable steps. Parental conflicts are always associated with negative activities prevailing among the children. It provokes child’s bad attitude towards his parents. It makes children rebel and manner less and parents are wholly and soly responsible for it. The childhood which is meant to play and to enjoy life in real sense but unfortunately parental conflicts drained away all happiness of childhood and makes life of child harsh to live. Sometimes parental conflicts reach to stage where it forces children to use drugs, cigarettes and other kind of medicines relives themselves. Than children become drug addicts and the parents themselves have to bear the brunt. It becomes the cause of many childhood crimes which in turn has become the cause for anxiety, anger and depression. When all other children are talking about sports and celebrations, those affected by the parental conflicts consume time in absurd thinking i.e, how to end war between their parents and how to end this animal cruelty.
Due to chaotic childhood filled with abuse, fear, trauma and negligence the child misses many developmental milestones. He becomes impulsive hard . He doesn’t care for anyone because his mind and heart is always poured with his own sadness. He becomes emotionally disturbed. It becomes difficult for him to regulate his emotions. It destroys spiritual peace and mental hygiene of children. When the parents engage in fierce fights the children are worst victims of it. In our valley if we analyse majority of society is constituted with middle class families and middle class children are worstly hit by it .in valley young people have already gone through mental trauma . The fear of atrocities, anxiety and depression of unemployment have left permanent scars on their mind. Now parental affection and domestic peace is sole cure for these problems. Yes, nobody is denying the fact that there must be a gap between the parents and children but this gap has widened so much that children are now scaring to tell their problems to parents. This gap can be only filled through domestic harmony. Today’s era is indeed era of competition and indeed it is difficult for one to earn livelihood easily without giving throat slit competition to others but this doesn’t mean that on failure parents should disgrace their children, to harass their children mentally, to mock and taunt them on failure which make their children emotionally hard and very much impulsive. When parents see the undesirable traits in their children then they blame themselves for their unruly conduct and behavior and actually it is that early disgrace , disrespect which nurtures these undesirable traits parents have to face later . Today our society is on the coast where children are harassed by their teachers even some newspapers and news channels claim that father rapes his daughter. Now we can easily judge where this trauma and torture can lead them. Now the question is whom to blame? Who will restore it? The father who is meant to protect his children now the daughter is unsafe in his lap. Surely this may be not the matter of concern if only uneducated and illiterate class falls in the net but unfortunately our so called educated class who label themselves as civilized fell in the same trap. For healthy and prosperous future we have to nurture these blooming buds with love, affection, care, respect, confidence and inspiration.
