New Delhi, May 11: The Supreme Court today observed that it will decide the issue of constitutional validity of triple talaq.
Former Law Minister and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, in his personal capacity, said triple talaq seems to be a non-issue as it is not considered complete without the conciliation efforts between husband and wife.
He is appearing and arguing before the apex court in his personal capacity but not as an Amicus Curiae (Friend of the court) in the case.
The Supreme Court also wanted to know from Mr Khurshid that whether reconciliation after pronouncement of talaq three times is codified? Khurshid replied in negative.
The top court also wanted to know what is Muslim Personal Law.
