Key figures from the university, including directors and deans, participated in the discussions, while Dr. Saravanan Raj from MANAGE highlighted the organization’s commitment to promoting agricultural entrepreneurship through capacity building and collaboration. The discussions also underscored the necessity of strengthening connections among farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations, startups, research institutions, and markets to bolster agricultural enterprises. Dr. Azra Mufti from APEDA pointed out the critical role of branding, quality standards, and market access in enhancing export opportunities for the region’s agricultural products. Industry insights were shared by Mr. Abdul Manan Koul, who discussed the significance of innovation and market-oriented strategies in building agri-food enterprises, while Ms. Khalida Rasool presented opportunities in exotic mushroom cultivation and value-added agricultural products.
