Dear Editor,
Below mentioned are my views on resignation of the outgoing Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar which I want to highlight through the columns of your newspaper:-
Not So healthy exit
Vice President Dhankhar’s sudden resignation, though officially due to health reasons, hints at deeper issues. His exit, timed with a key Parliament session, suggests possible political or institutional tensions. Known for opposing judicial overreach, Dhankhar may have felt sidelined or constrained. This act could reflect silent protest against growing friction between branches of power. His resignation raises important questions about autonomy, the role of constitutional offices, and whether democratic institutions are functioning with genuine balance and respect for their roles.Sometimes, even the second-highest chair needs a stronger backrest or better company.
